TEAM TRINITY WOMEN BUILD for Habitat for Humanity
2025 Team Trinity Women Build Report
For more than ten years, Trinity’s has provided funds to Habitat for Humanity Women Build so that Team Trinity could resume our annual house building ministry. Once again this year, this donation allowed us to form three teams of seven women each to build houses in the Hannah Creighton area of Fort Wayne. Fourteen different workers were involved this year...Alison Bauer, Amber Bauer, Katie Casey-Gamez, Sandra DeRose, Liz Fenimore, Connie Hazelrigg, Mary Hembree, Mother Amanda Henes, Erika Mann, April Morrison, Nancy Shumlas, and Kathy Watson, plus two friends of Trinity Katie Nguyen and Jane Sieber. Work times were 8am to 3pm, so workdays included lunch and break times, providing us another way to help this outreach partner. Providing meals, snacks and drinks for Team Trinity and the Habitat work crew were Jan Byrd, Cindy Fisher, Anne Martin, Annie McAlexander, Nancy Shumlas, Ann Sims, Mary Lou Whately and Phil Wyss. In addition there were monetary donations from parishioners, which helped upgrade Trinity’s “sponsorship” for the year. Again, there were more parishioners involved this year than in prior years, several helping for the first time, and a few helping for the eleventh year! There is ALWAYS plenty of room for more involvement by parishioners this year, so whether you hammer or make sandwiches or even just buy water and snacks, watch for Habitat news during the spring of 2026.
