Trinity + Habitat for Humanity

UPDATE: Team Trinity got off to a great start for Habitat for Humanity's Women Build 2017!

On opening day, May 6, Annie McAlexander, Elizabeth Woenker, Alison Bauer, Rebekah Randall and Linda Buskirk picked up their hammers and got to work! We have new electricians and siding experts at Trinity. A special thanks goes to Anne Martin for providing a great lunch for all who worked that day.

It was a great day for all — an incredible experience for the workers and a great outcome for the homeowners!

Trinity is once again participating in the Women Build program for Habitat for Humanity. The Women Build work will take place during the entire month of May, so we can work on various houses with different levels of completion. Team Trinity is providing workers on Saturday, May 6 and Wednesday, May 24.

Also, Women Build has openings for most of the weekdays for anyone interested in working on other days in May. It is important to know that we can work as a group, or as individuals, for Habitat anytime during the building season.

To help those who will be hammering or painting, Team Trinity is also asking for volunteers to provide a part (main dish, side, salad OR dessert) of lunches on those day. Trinity has been known in past for preparing great meals for the workers!

There are sign-up sheets on the Outreach bulletin board in the hallway. Please sign-up if you’re interested in helping as a worker or a chef on any of those days…or have other days you’d like to work!

Fundraising will again be a part of Trinity’s responsibility to this project. This year if we raise $1,500, we can be a Partner Day Sponsor, which will include name recognition and marketing exposure for Trinity. This goal is a great place to start, and fairly low, so please donate to Team Trinity for Women Build!
