Lent at Trinity

We often think about what we give up in sacrifice for Lent, but this year for Trinity's Lenten series, we'll explore ways to take on something new. Join us as we learn what these new things might be through discussion and a group prayer of Compline after each session.

March 8:  The Word

What does the Bible mean to you? How does it speak to you? This session will explore beautiful ways to enjoy and enliven God's Word in your life.

  • Ideas: Lectio Divina

March 15:  Drawing Closer to God Through Prayer

Lent provides a great opportunity to take on a new discipline that will draw you closer to our triune God all year—maybe for life! This session will explore ways to pray that some people of Trinity enjoy, and give you an opportunity to try them them.

  • Ideas: Labyrinth, morning and evening prayer, Forward movement

March 22:  Gratitude

How do you express gratitude for God's redeeming goodness and blessings in your life? This session will explore ways to do so that will generate even more blessings.

  • Ideas:  Proportional giving, planned giving, giving of self to spend time in prayer or service to others

March 29:  Service

Did you know you are called to being an apostle, to be sent into the world? This session will explore ways the people of Trinity are serving through Outreach and other ministries.

April 5:  Trinity as Community

Many people at Trinity treasure the relationships here, saying Trinity is like a home or family. Through Scripture and conversation, we'll explore ways we can encourage, serve and build up our faith community and its members.
